In the mid-nineties, Anja and Dirk-Jan F. Warmerdam laid the foundation for establishing a hotel company with the acquisition of their first hotel. Since then, the NordWest-Hotels brand has grown into an internationally operating company. In addition to operating their own hotels, the company is also involved in hotel management and serves as an investor and lessor of holiday properties.
The main headquarters and administrative center are located at the NordWest Hotel “Amsterdam”. Built in 1994 and opened in 1995, it was expanded in the year 2000 to include the Hotel Am Badepark and the NordWest-Hotel “Bad Zwischenahn,” formerly known as the Burghotel. This expansion resulted in a contemporary size in Ammerland, offering a total of 140 rooms and approximately 275 beds.
High levels of expertise and dedicated support for aspiring talent distinguish the top-rated hotels. Our hotels operate with efficiency and a strong environmental consciousness. Thriftiness and sustainability are central principles we adhere to.
